This is a real competitor infrastructure move. Klaviyo is making localized email, SMS, and service experiences easier for international Shopify brands inside the incumbent stack, which raises the switching cost for any tool that lacks market, language, pricing, and catalog context.
Klaviyo is getting harder to dislodge in the Shopify core stack. Tailored should not fight for the catalog layer; it should own the conversion conversation after localized automation has already pulled the buyer in.
