This is a real control-plane move. If merchants can query Klaviyo from ChatGPT, Claude, Shopify, and connected apps while still acting on the same customer graph, Klaviyo gets harder to dislodge because the data layer matters more than the interface.
Klaviyo is trying to become infrastructure for agentic commerce, not just a marketing app. Tailored should stay narrower and sharper: win the revenue conversation that starts after the big platform has already assembled the context.
